Financial statements come in four different basic flavors. However, these financial statements may be used in conjunction with other statements and may even be complex in their development depending on the business requirements. These different statements provide information in the long and short term for any business. They are: balance sheet, statement of retrained earnings, statement of cash flow, and an income statement. They are used singularly depending on the type of business or decision requirement.
