Blockbuster trying to give upset Netflix customers till Sept 15 to get a 30 day free trial and 2 DVD’s for $14.99 a month. The people that are upset at the huge increase may want to check out this option. I for one am glad that will have to compete so, customers have an option to who the customer treats them well is more likely where they will go.
Netflix customers are upset at the new price hike that the company just announced. It does not make any sense for customers that have been so loyal for years. This is a slap in the face to customers in an economy where going to the movies may be too expensive. So, people use services as Netflix , but now people will think twice or just use the free part of Hulu that does not charge for their service.
Technology has been great for us it runs everything from our water, milk, electricity. We are very dependent on it and we should make sure that the grid needs to be updated and upgraded. Since technology does have so much of an affect on society and in the world we need to perfectly secure our technologies so we are ready for anything.
This is where we should be headed with the revamping of the medical system and the addition of millions to the system we will need a very secure infrastructure than can hold a very large database and number one aspect of this should be the confidentiality of the patients information and how to secure and release only to the medical professionals involved with the case. It will take resources ,but the end result out weighs the means.
Facebook has been going around showing off its new toys that will be added such as cam to cam feature for your friends and family list by working with Skype that is owned by Microsoft. Facebook is doing this because of the new social network that will be revealed by Google called Google plus. It is supposed to have some of the similar features, but an added feature where you can cam with 10 friends simultaneously.
They are eliminating their unlimited plans unless you pay the fees. This will not affect the customers that already have the unlimited data plan. This is just for the new customers as of 7/7/2011. This is very similar to when the other major carriers also cut their unlimited data plan service.
I have seen that the main reason that people join social networks such as Facebook, and LinkedIn is to keep up with your high school friends, family, and start a networking group regarding your career. This is just another alternative to the phone call or text. This can be a lot of fun to join and you can keep up with your friends by using apps for your phone.
There are rumors and speculations that Facebook and Skype are planning to feature a video chat feature on this was perfect timing while Google also has announced their social network will be coming soon to all. This is something I know many have been waiting for and are waiting for the reveal. Lets see if this rumor has any validity or is it all a ploy.
The group Anonymous hit the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) by taking credit for the attack. It also said that the attacks were based on a protest that they were doing against the state of Arizona in regards to int stance against the anti-immigration laws. These attacks can be very dangerous because peoples private information is being put out in the open.
I have often wondered why the medical system here is not more centralized so that the information retreival process is much quicker weather you are skiing in aspen or snorkling in hawaii. If you have an accident you would want your information very easily acceccible to any doctor that needs it to make a crtitical decesion to save your life in an emergency. I hope we are working towards a better system to help people especially when they are in dire need of medical attention you want to know all that you can before giving them something that could cause an allergic reaction. That could happen from the lack of knowledge for the doctor.
