Absolutely!  Lets understand why.  Lets say you are a manager of an organization that requires you to do something in one way.  Your boss calls you into his or her office and says “Hey, so I have some great news!  We are going to be expanding our service to include Canada on our support team.”  You say “great!  How does that affect me?” and then they hit you with it… “Yes, you would need to retrain your team to consider different regulations and rules”.  It happens all the time as a manager.  Do not be scared of taking on a different task.  Take it as a development time and to throw you off of your line.  The best managers and exec’s realize that change is necessary to keep up with the times.  And, as we know, even more so in technology.
