My best answer is that a solid investment into technology can redirect many of your investments to use the technology to decrease your costs. Here is a good example. Lets say you have a decent network at work. Did you know that you could change your very expensive phone line for a very inexpensive VoIP system. Not only is it inexpensive but very easy to use and expand. That is the biggest secret of technology at work. You should be able to invest strategically.
