I think the best way to go and purchase a phone would be to get an unlocked phone. The main reason is that unlocked phones can help anyone who is with a carrier change without having to purchase a new phone. Most of the time, different carriers don’t even have the phones that can be transferred through unlocked phones. Just be sure that you know what carrier technology that would be required as many phones only use one type of phone technology (which may limit the carriers you can go to). At the end, they are the best way to purchase phones and can be used in the future.
